A Bird in the Sand, set in Savannah, Georgia and Key West, Florida, has been shortlisted for a Royal Palm Literary award in the Mystery category. Resorting to Fraud, a mainstream novel, is also a finalist. Winners will be announced in October at the annual Conference, to be held online this year.
We will be publishing an anthology of travel essays and stories, titled Rumble Strip Legendary Road Trips. If you have a story about a trip taken in 2018, 2019 or 2020, and can write it in 300 to 1,000 words, please take a look at the Anthology Call for Submissions at www.rumblestripbooks.com or send me an email with a few details at firstname.lastname@example.org.
WindWord Group Publishing & Media will produce online courses based on some of its books. The first course offered will be How Marketing Works: The Logic behind the Tactics, with instructor David A. Stone.
This third book in the Rumble Strip series covers France, Italy and Switzerland. "Covers" is actually not an accurate word. "Samples" would be more like it. The road trip starts in Paris and swings through Brittany, the Loire Valley, Bordeau, Provence, Nice, Antibes, Cannes and Monaco, Rapallo, Pisa, Florence, Siena and Tuscany, Geneva and the Alps. Along the way, Gail and the Zig are so impressed with many of the spots they are wondering if they should just stop, put the car up on blocks, and stay for a while.
The book has been published in two versions. The one with black and white photographs includes the punctuation in the subtitle and the one with full-color photos regards the subtitle as more of a rhetorical question.
We're pleased to announce the publication of Parenting-Wise, written by early childhood educator Laurie Lafortune. A collection of short essays on topics from managing kids' screen time to dealing with sleep problems in infants, this book will be as useful to new parents as the car seat or the crib monitor.
WindWord Group Publishing & Media has released a second title in the Rumble Strip Books travel series. In Rumble Strip USA Off the Interstate, When you’re not in a hurry to get from one place to another, a road trip can become one of the most enjoyable things ever. In this collection of side-road journeys in 25 of the United States, Gail Hulnick takes you from the top of a mountain in Vermont to a desert in California . . . with many stops in between.
Gail Hulnick's Hotels series begins with a story set on the Caribbean island of St. Croix, where a celebrity chef/international culinary competition is heating up. When an important guest mysteriously disappears, suspicion falls on a vacationing journalist while an ambitious employee tries to protect her resort's reputation.
The second story in the series, Resorting to Larceny, will be released August 1, 2017.
