It will be available soon (in the next couple of months) on Audible, Amazon, and OverDrive (for library orders).
Sleeping Dogs Lie is set in the world of community newspapers and is the story of the story of the discovery of a body in a public park in a small southwest Florida town. Here is the back cover copy:
Lillian Howe, living alone and convincing herself that she likes it, stumbles on a body, left under the bushes in a park near a southwest Florida beach. It is a beautiful dog, its head battered and its back legs tied together with a black scarf. When Lillian decides to write about the killing in her newspaper column, she becomes the target of an arsonist and a pack of ferocious dogs. A gripping tale of mystery, suspense, and long-buried secrets, Sleeping Dogs Lie brings the worlds of community newspapers, dog lovers, Florida beaches, and the Everglades together in Book 3 of Gail Hulnick’s Media Mysteries series. The novel is available here in Ebook only in the Kindle Book store. Paperback edition will be released later this month and audiobook edition in February. We're thrilled to announce that Resorting to Murder is now available in audiobook format on Audible, Kobo, Amazon Music, OverDrive, WalMart, and dozens of other audiobook outlets. The novel was originally published in 2018 and is the story of a resort hotel staffer who crosses paths with a celebrity chef/ CEO on St. Croix, in the U.S. Virgin Islands in the Caribbean. Resorting to Murder is available in paperback wherever books are sold and in Ebook on the Amazon Kindle Store.

We've put together Gail's two media mystery novels -- The Lion's Share of the Air Time and A Bird in the Sand -- in an Ebook boxed set, now available on Amazon as a Kindle book (which can be read on any device.) The Lion's Share of the Air Time was a quarter finalist in the Amazon Breakthrough First Novel Award in 2014. A Bird in the Sand was a winner in the Royal Palm Literary Awards in Florida in 2020. These are crime stories without torture, graphic violence or psychological terror. We've been working on The Brainwave Podcast, and if you check out the podcast page on this website, you can hear the Introduction and see a Description. We're listed on Spotify, Google Podcasts, IHeartRadio, and Stitcher, and are waiting on confirmation from Apple Podcasts. The focus is the creative spark -- that charmed moment when you get an idea and you just know it could be good. What do you do next? How do (or did) you take it from the brainwave to the finished thing? What can you do if the ideas stop coming? How does an author, an artist, a composer, a designer, a chef, a choreographer, a sculptor or an architect nurture their creativity?
We hope you'll join us every Sunday after 5 pm for a new episode. Launching August 1st. The three novels in Gail's Resorting Series -- Resorting to Murder, Resorting to Larceny, and Resorting to Fraud -- are now available in Ebook format as a boxed set. The title is Questionable Crimes, because in each of these stories, it's not entirely clear just what crime is being investigated and what has happened. The collection is available in the Kindle Store on Amazon for 9.99 and can be read on any device.
You can download the first one in the series, Resorting to Murder, for free over five days in June: June 4th through 8th. The Florida Writers Association presents Book Expo May 1st to 10th at www.floridawritersbooks.com.
